The Cinelli Brothers & Friends in concert.
Friday 12 March 2021 at 8.00 pm live on Facebook on the page of the Municipality of Latina.
“Latina calls London… and London responds. Always with great affection even and especially in a difficult moment like this. Because, those who left one of the youngest cities in Italy to see a bit of the world as it is made, accepting an invitation, which comes from there, is always a great privilege”. These are the words of Alessandro Allocca, who was given the task of introducing CovidFREEdom – the heart beyond the Channel made possible thanks to the organization of the Eleomai Cultural Association and its President Alfredo Romano, with the contribution of the Municipality of Latina, Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport, as part of the public notice “Culture and Art in the time of Covid”, and the collaboration of the Varaldo Di Pietro Foundation.
The Cinelli Brothers, who certainly need no introduction, will offer a live concert in the name of peace, also remembering John Lennon 40 years after his death, of inclusion, as a tribute to Eunice Kennedy Shriver, to whom a monument is dedicated in Latina, and in the name of solidarity which, in a moment like this, is fundamental for all of us.
To them the merit of completely erasing the distances between Latina, our land, and London, the city that is hosting them. Because, when there is good music and friendship, no pandemic can stop you. Even 1817 km away!
The Cinelli Brothers represent a new generation of fervent musicians who share a deep love for Blues, Soul and RnB and that authentic sound that has made Blues a milestone in the history of music. The project was born from a shared passion for the electric Chicago and Texas Blues of the 60s and 70s, when brothers Marco Cinelli (guitarist and singer) and Alessandro Cinelli (drummer) decided to form an explosive team presenting an unreleased repertoire in the style of Chess, Stax and Motown Records. Sharing the stage with the two brothers from Latina are Enzo Strano on bass and Tom Julian-Jones on harmonica and guitar. Their debut album Babe Please Set Your Alarm, recorded at Soup Studio in London completely live and in analog, was officially released in the UK in May 2018, on vinyl and digital platforms. The album was number 2 in the IBBA (Independent Blues Broadcasters’ Association) in June 2018. The band appeared in the same year on Blues in Britain, Blues Matters, Classic Rock, Maverick and numerous other music magazines. Music Republic Magazine has named Marco Cinelli best guitarist of 2018.
They have been nominated in the BEST BAND category of the prestigious UK BLUES AWARDS for the second consecutive year (2020 and 2021)
The Cinelli Brothers have just released their new single “Married Woman” from the album “Villa JukeJoint” out in May. With this amazing single they break the media silence that has lasted more than a year, since the release of the other single “Choo Ma Gum”.
